Meet Blacky, the Haven of the Ozarks Pet of the Week. Blacky was fostered by one of our wonderful volunteers. He went by Charlie in his foster home and has grown fond of the name. Blacky was originally brought in when his owners could no longer care for him. He seems to warm up to women much, much quicker than men. He was doing well working on potty training in his foster home and will get there in no time with people who earn his trust. He enjoys lounging in dog beds and walks well using a harness. Blacky would do best in a home with an outgoing dog who can teach him how to be a real dog (instead of a scaredy cat). Blacky is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all shots. His estimated date of birth is Jan. 12, 2016, and he weighs approximately 45 pounds. Meet him at the Haven, open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day. Contributed photo
