Holiday royalty to be crowned

Cassville Mr. and Miss Merry Christmas candidates chosen

The Cassville Mr. and Miss Merry Christmas candidates have been named, with winners set to be announced in January.

With four grades and eight students, only two can be crowned. The virtual Mr. and Miss Merry Christmas assembly will be held on Jan. 15, 2021, at 1:15 p.m. It will be on Facebook live on the Cassville school Facebook page.

Per tradition, two students from each grade, freshman to senior, have been chosen and have a chance to be crowned the 2020 Mr. or Miss Merry Christmas.

Levi Maher, freshman, is the son on Allen and Brooke Maher, of Jenkins, and Jeremy and Melissa Mansfield, of Mano. Maher is involved in Cassville FFA and golf.

Kyah Saffold, freshman, is the daughter of Kasie Moore and the granddaughter of Bob and Sharyn Saffold, of Shell Knob. Saffold is involved with Cassville student council, FBLA, FFA and track.

Frank Osborn, sophomore, is the son John and Cynthia Coatney, of Eagle Rock, and Mike and Edythe Osborn, of Neosho. Osborn is involved in band, football and FCCLA.

Lauren Stockton, sophomore, is the daughter of Larry and Cheryl Stockton, of Cassville. Stockton is involved in show choir and centerstage.

Eden Morris, junior, is the daughter of Kimberly and Jeff Healey, of Cassville. Morris is involved in track.

Jesse Lane Taylor, junior, is the son of Wesley and Andrea Taylor, of Shell Knob. Taylor is involved in track, speech and debate, nursing program, talent search, mask and gavel, A+ program and FCCLA.

Hannah Hackler, senior, is the daughter of Deana and Kenneth Herington, of Shell Knob. Hackler is involved in NHS, volleyball, track and student council.

Carson Whittemire, senior, is the son of Mark and Chris Whittemire, of Cassville. Whittemire is involved in basketball, soccer, FCA and the A+ program.
