Carol Woods, 70, of Cassville, passed away at her home on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020. She was born Sept. 24, 1950, in Lebanon, Ore. In 1996, she was united in marriage to Monte Woods in Cassville; he survives.
She, together with her sisters, owned and operated numerous restaurants in this area. She was a member of the McDowell Community Church.
Additional survivors include: three daughters, Dana Clayton and her husband Jeff, of Freistatt, Amy Meadows and her husband Randy, of Cassville, and Shannon Garner and her husband Rockey, of Miller; two stepdaughters, Anna Woods, of Cassville, and Melanie Woods, of Stotts City; one stepson, Matt Woods and his wife Callie, of Exeter; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Lorrie Ricklefs, of Monett; three brothers, Frank Smith and his wife Becky, of Stella, Alan Smith and his wife, Sherrie of Marshall, Ark., and Rusty Smith, of Joplin. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Teresa A. Miller, who passed away Jan. 15, 2011.
Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 21, at White Funeral Home, Cassville. Burial was at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Butterfield.
