The Bisons got moving on their next drive, but stalled and punted again. The Wildcats then struggled, and a bad snap on a punt went over Drake Reese’s head and through the end zone for a safety.

Another Buffalo punt was returned by the Wildcats to the 49, a drive that ended with quarterback Hayden Sink pushing the line in from 2 out.

Buffalo pulled the score within 5 with a 15-yard pass and dive into the end zone.

From about the 8, Sink dropped the ball on a handoff but recovered, then he hit the line at the 5 and pushed his way into paydirt to go up 34-16 with 1:14 left in the third.
