Barry County announces Round Three CARES Act application process
Barry County is making an application available to request CARES Act funds for a third round of funding.
For the third round of funding, non-profit corporations negatively impacted by COVID may seek economic support for the time period of March 1 through Oct. 31.
Requests must satisfy the requirements of the CARES Act and Treasury guidance. Applicants will be required to submit sufficient supporting documentation in support of the request.
For instance, a non-profit corporation that was unable to hold previously scheduled fundraisers due to COVID may submit documentation consisting of the past three years of: informational tax returns, statement of financial position (balance sheet), statement of financial activities (income statement), and records evidencing past fundraising activity from the identified fundraising events, bank statements in support of those efforts, and other financial records in support of the request.
Applications for the third round of funding are due on Nov. 30. The County will then review and evaluate the applications for completeness (including supporting documentation), compliance with the CARES Act requirements and Treasury guidance. Award recipients will be required to enter into a written agreement with the County prior to disbursement of awarded funds.
The application is available through the County Clerk’s office and a fillable application will be available at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Questions regarding the application process may be directed to Gary Youngblood, Presiding Commissioner, at 417-847-4628.
