Frank David Schmitt
Frank David Schmitt, Jr., 75, of Marionville, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield. He was born April 12, 1945, in Kansas City, the son of Frank David and Helen (Swehla) Schmitt, Sr.
He was a 1963 graduate of Southeast High School in Kansas City and attended Penn Valley Community College in Kansas City. He worked for Ford Kansas City Assembly Plant in Claycomo for 40 years.
On Feb. 3, 2004, he married Gwendolyn Anderson in Liberty.
Survivors include: his wife of 16 years, Gwendolyn; three sons, Steve (Pauline) Schmitt of Albuquerque, N.M., Matt (Amanda) Schmitt of Stewartsville, and Chris (Jenni) Schmitt of Blue Springs; six step-children, Cheryl (Keith) Cole of Cassville, Debbie (Don) Clapsaddle of Chanute, Kansas, Cindy (Tim) Rohden of Clever, Gregg (Kandi) Yockey of Cassville, Vicki (David) Leonard of Purdy, and Kelly Cornell of Cassville; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 14 step grandchildren; 28 step great-grandchildren and four step great-great grandchildren.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Helen, one sister, Shirley Bunker and two step grandsons.
No services are planned at this time.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Williams Funeral Home in Marionville.
