Donna Coleen Phillips
Donna Coleen Phillips, 91, of Cassville, passed away Monday, Nov. 2, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in Cassville.
She was born Nov. 7, 1928, in Cassville, the daughter of Earl and Cleo (McFarland) Eubanks. On July 10, 1947, in the state of Washington she was united in marriage to Henry “Hank” Phillips, who preceded her in death on April 18, 1984. Also preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include: two daughters, Diana Owens and her husband Jim of Cassville and Connie Phillips also of Cassville; one sister, Betty “Sue” Flowers of Panama City, Fla.; five grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was born and raised in Cassville. Her family moved to Kansas City, where she met her husband and raised her family. In the early 1970s after Hank retired, they moved to a small farm near Cassville. She was a very spiritual lady and enjoyed doing volunteer work. One of the places she volunteered was at Providence Hospital in Kansas City as a Gray Lady. After moving back to Cassville she worked at the Town House Motel and later volunteered at the Senior Center.
Cremation arrangements were under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Graveside services were held Sunday, Nov. 8, at Horner Cemetery in Cassville.
