Lady Wildcats to host district tourney

The volleyball action will be fast and furious Monday, as Cassville will host the Class 3, District 12 tournament.

No. 4 Seneca and No. 5 Cassville open play at 5 p.m., followed by No. 3 Aurora and No. 6 East Newton at 7 p.m.

No. 1 Mt. Vernon awaits the winner of the Cassville-Seneca match on Tuesday at 4 p.m., with No. 2 Lamar taking on the Aurora-East Newton victor at 6 p.m.

The Championship match is slated to begin at 8 p.m.

Class 2, District 10

Diamond will serve as the host school for the Class 2, District 10 tournament, which opens Monday with No. 4 Diamond and No. 5 Southwest at 5 p.m. The winner advances to play No. 1 Sarcoxie at 8 p.m.

No. 2 Pierce City and No. 3 Purdy battle at 6:30 p.m.

The championship is set for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Class 1, District 8

Verona High School showcases its new gym on Monday as the host site for the Class 1, District 8 tournament.

No. 4 Wheaton and No. 5 Verona kick play off at 5 p.m., followed by No. 3 Thomas Jefferson and No. 6 Exeter.

No. 1 College Heights awaits the winner of the Wheaton-Verona game on Tuesday at 5 p.m., with No. 2 McAuley Catholic entertaining the Thomas Jefferson-Exeter victor at 6:15 p.m.

The championship game is set for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
