Donald “Rex” Stumpff
Donald “Rex” Stumpff, 77, of Cassville, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.
He was born Oct. 26, 1942, in Cato, the son of Donald and June (Blankenship) Stumpff. On July 3, 1964, in Cassville he was united in marriage to Janice Walters, who survives.
Additional survivors include: one son, Donnie Stumpff and his wife Teresa of Cassville; one daughter, Lora Driver and her husband Phillip of Cassville; two brothers, Max Stumpff and his wife Yvonne and Roger Stumpff and his wife Gaye, all of Cassville; five grandchildren, Dillon and his wife Savanna, Parker and his wife Ashley, Shania and her husband Cody, McKenzie and Summer; and nine great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
He received his education in Cassville and graduated with the Cassville Class of 1960. He then attended Moler Barber College in Kansas City and graduated in 1961. For 59 years, he was a barber in Cassville and also had owned and operated two restaurants. For 12 years, he served as Barry County Clerk. He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church in Cassville.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Donnie Spears will conduct the services. Burial will be at Clio Cemetery in Jenkins.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
