Lloyd A. Ball, 89, of Cassville, passed away Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020, at his home.

He was born Feb. 4, 1931, in Eagle Rock, the son of Edward and Lorena Margaret (Carter) Ball. On July 6, 1951, in Eureka Springs, Ark., he was united in marriage to Shirley May who survives.

Additional survivors include: one son, Mark Allen Ball of Cassville; one daughter, Kathy Keene and her husband Wes of Cassville; two brothers, Willis Ray Ball and his wife Betty of Carthage, and Eugene Ball of Eagle Rock; two sisters, Georgia Hart and her husband Buddie of Eagle Rock and Rosie Lee Ennis of Seligman; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Ellery and Ellis Ball; and two sisters, Annabelle in infancy and Ettaree Louise Warren.

He grew up in Eagle Rock, where he received his education. For several years, he was maintenance supervisor at the hospital in Cassville. In his early life, he worked at Williamson Funeral Home. During the 1960s and 1970s, he owned Main Street Restaurant. He also did upholstery work. He was a member of Cassville First Baptist Church and had been song leader at Bible Baptist Church for 30 years.

Services will be held Thursday, Sept. 24, at Cassville First Baptist Church under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Tony Ball and Pastor James Weaver will conduct the services. Burial will be at Antioch Cemetery in Cassville.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at First Baptist Church in Cassville.
