Martha Frances Foster Wierman
Martha Frances Foster Wierman, 84, of Aurora, passed away Thursday, Sept. 3, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. She was born July 20, 1936, the daughter of Alfred and Clara Batson Foster in Cape Fair. She was a retired waitress, homemaker and caregiver. She graduated from Reeds Spring high school.
On March 16, 1964, she was united in marriage to Luther Wierman in Benton County, Ark., and he preceded her in death.
She was the oldest of 12 children in her family. She was a very caring person and would give a person her last dime or find a way to help them. She loved her nieces and nephews. She loved to cook, fish, embroidery and read. She will be greatly missed by friends and family.
Also preceding her in death were: her parents; both sets of grandparents; two brothers, Weaver and Joe Foster; and two sisters, Wanda Lou and Marie June Foster.
Survivors include: three sons, Thomas Foster of Arkansas, Brent Stettner of Springfield, and Denny Wierman of Cassville; four brothers, Tom Foster of Aurora; Fred Foster of Paris, Texas; Glen Foster of Cassville and George Foster of Butterfield; three sisters, Maebell Lynd of Butterfield, Debbie Branham of Aurora and Anna Wilson of Mt. Vernon; one grandchild, Denny of Cassville; numerous nieces and nephews; and her special friends, Eli and Fred Winkler.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 8 in the Peterson Funeral Chapel, Aurora. Burial followed in Carney Cemetery.
