Cassville not taking undefeated Nevada for granted

Cassville Coach Lance Parnell is well aware of the huge contest that awaits the Wildcats on Friday as they invade 2-0 Nevada.

"I see a drastically improved football team over the one we played last year," Parnell said. "They return all their starters. They were young last year, and now, that experience is paying off,"

The Wildcats (1-1) enter the game on the heels of a 22-20 win over Marshfield in a game where it took a team effort to secure the win.

"In every facet, I saw more effort in Week 2 than Week 1,” Parnell said. "I was proud of the kids for their discipline and on field leadership. They corrected those little things and rebounded well."

Those skills will be put to the test Friday as the Wildcats brace for a rushing attack that rivals their own.

"They are big up front," Parnell said. "There are no easy games in the Big 8, and Nevada is playing well.”
