Marjorie Anne (Johnson) Ahart

Marjorie Anne (Johnson) Ahart of Monett, passed away Saturday, Aug. 22, 2020. She was born Jan. 24, 1924, near Dolliver, Iowa, to John and Maud Mary (Uren) Russell. She was a 1941 Ringsted High School graduate. On May 10, 1946, she was united in marriage to James W. Johnson in Los Angeles, Calif. She was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church. James preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 1983.

In August 1986, Marjorie married Rev. Neal Ahart. Following Neal's call from the Lord they lived in Emory, S.D., Climbing Hill, Iowa, Cassville, Mo., Hartley, Iowa, and finally Alcester, S.D. Neal preceded her in death on April 26, 2019. Marjorie then moved to Monett, Mo., where she lived at Oak Pointe Assisted Living and Memory Care. She was preceded in death by both her husbands, her parents, two brothers, Robert Russell and William Russell, and one son, Steven (Vicki) Johnson.

Survivors include: one daughter, Suzanne (Mike) Parsons and their family of Cassville; one son, Robert (Linda) Johnson of Milford, Iowa; three children; three great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren; and six stepchildren. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 29 at 2:30 at St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 2:30 at the cemetery.
