Meet Conan, the Haven of the Ozarks Pet of the Week. Conan is a gorgeous 5-year-old boy who came to the Haven after his owner could no longer care for him. He was in pitiful condition, emaciated and with awful skin, but with time and good care, he’s now the handsome boy he was always meant to be. Conan is believed to be an American Bulldog mix, or he may even be a purebred, but that can’t be guaranteed. Conan loves people, gives slobbery kisses and likes to rest his head on the human friend giving him attention. He walks like an absolute dream on a leash and will make a good walking buddy. The one thing making Conan a more difficult dog to place is his need to be the only pet. Conan doesn’t do well with cats or other dogs. People can meet Conan at the Haven, open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day of the week. Contributed photo
