Vehicle overturns on Farm Road 1029

Three people were injured on July 7 in a wreck at 9:45 p.m. on Farm Road 1029, two miles east of Wheaton.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Brandon King, 31, of Exeter, was driving a 1987 Dodge 1500 northbound when his vehicle failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.

King and a passenger in the vehicle, Amy Cunningham, 18, of Exeter, both suffered moderate injuries. A third passenger, Susan Harris, 18, of Wheaton, suffered minor injuries. All three were transported to Mercy Hospital in Joplin.

Harris was wearing a safety device, and Cunningham and King were not. The vehicle was totaled.
