Dr. Charles Harold Measel
Dr. Charles Harold Measel, 97, of Little Rock, Ark., died Sunday, June 7, 2020. He was a proud and decorated veteran of WWII, attaining the rank of Sergeant in the 313th Regiment and the 79th Division. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge and served in both Belgium and Germany.
He was born on October 24, 1922, in Dermott, Arkansas, to Charles M. and Adele Anderson Measel.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Matthew Scott Measel and Charles Mikel Measel (Leslie) and spouses, Charlotte Measel and Vicky Mabry.
He is survived by sons, Mark Sparkman Measel (Sherry) and Jeffrey Todd Measel; four grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Harold received Bachelorís, Masterís and Doctoral degrees from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. A Razorback letterman in track, he was a lifelong Razorback and St. Louis Cardinals fan. He taught and coached at schools in Texas, Cassville, Missouri, and in college at East Tennessee State. He retired as Assistant Superintendent of Pulaski County School District in Little Rock, Arkansas.

A celebration of Haroldís life will be held at his home, 7 Crape Myrtle Place, Little Rock, Arkansas, post Covid-19.
