Jimmie Norman, 83, of Shell Knob, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at Lawrence County Manor in Mt. Vernon.
He was born July 18, 1936, in Aurora, the son of John and Lorres (Davis) Norman. On May 21, 1988, he was united in marriage to Patricia Florence Baker, who preceded him in death on May 17, 2019. Also preceding him in death were his parents and first wife, Sue.
Survivors include: one stepson Randy Lynn Baker and his wife Helen of White Pigeon, Mich., and one brother–in-law Donald LaChappell and his wife Joanne of Clifton, Ill.
He grew up and received his education in Aurora where he graduated high school. He served in the U.S. Navy. For several years, he owned and operated an excavation company. Later, after moving to Shell Knob 50 plus years ago, he owned and operated Ozark Mountain Water Company.
He was a member of the Shriners, Lions Club, Eagles Club and was involved in numerous Bass Tournaments. He was a member of First Christian Church in Shell Knob.
Services were held Friday at First Christian Church in Shell Knob under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Shell Knob. Pastor Tom Rees conducted the services. Burial will be at Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery in Springfield at a later date.
