A decade of pink power

Power of Pink received a $26,687.66 check this year for its 10th anniversary from Plunder Design, a Utah-based jewelry company.

About 250 people signed up to walk Saturday in the 10th annual Power of Pink walk, benefitting women battling breast cancer. Recipient Dawn Cope, of Republic, wearing blue in the golf cart, had a chemotherapy the day before the walk. Organizer Janice McCracken drove Cope in the cart at the head of the walking group.
