Vicki Kay Cornman

Vicki Kay Cornman, 74, of Jenkins, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2020, at Landmark Hospital in Joplin.

She was born March 12, 1946, the daughter of Victor Kenneth and Eunice (Henderson) Jones. On Dec. 29, 1964, in Joplin, she was united in marriage to Walter Leslie Cornman, who preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 2018. Also preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers.

Survivors include: two sons, David Cornman of Jenkins, and Brian Cornman and his wife Tiffany of Wheaton; two daughters, Sheri Young of Nixa, and Traci Craig and her husband Scott of Metamora, Ill.; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She grew up and received her education in Baxter Springs, Kan., Joplin and Monett, graduating from Monett High School. Shortly after marriage she moved to Jenkins to make her home. For many years, she was a nutritionist for University of Missouri Extension Service. She was a 4-H Club leader for her entire adult life. She was a member of Jenkins Fire Department Auxiliary, “Save the Jenkins Bridge” board and Cassville First Baptist Church.

Services were held Monday, March 23, at Clio Community Church in Jenkins, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Rev. Bob Allmon conducted the services. Burial was at Clio Cemetery in Jenkins.
