Carolyn S. Brattin
Carolyn S. Brattin, 77, of Cassville, passed away Friday, March 20, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
She was born May 9, 1942, in Stella, the daughter of Argyle and Geneva (Smith) Haynes. On May 27, 1960, she was united in marriage to Charles R. Brattin, who survives.
Additional survivors include: three daughters, Tonya Belk and Jerry of Joplin, Tammy Pueppke and Daniel of Cassville and Teresa Stumpff and Donnie of Cassville; three brothers, Melvin Haynes and Betty of Rocky Comfort, Wesley Haynes and Carolyn of Wheaton and Gary Haynes and Melissa of Claremore, Okla.; three sisters, Freida Kite of Carthage, Wylene Clouse of Springfield and Veva Lee and Bill of Cassville; three sisters-in-law, Joan Haynes of Wheaton, Esther Haynes of Fairview and Edna Haynes of Monett; brother-in-law, Don Brattin and Geraldine of Aurora; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; three brothers, Claude, Bill and Darril Haynes; one sister, Joyce Akin and four brothers-in-law, Sonny Akin, Bud Kite, Robert Clouse and Larry Riddle; sister-in-law, Beverly Riddle and special uncle, Hugh Smith.
She grew up and received her education in Wheaton, where she graduated from high school in 1960. She worked in banking for many years. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
Services were held Tuesday, March 24, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Donnie Spears conducted the services. Burial was at Muncie Chapel Cemetery in Wheaton.
