Lyle “Sam” Rose
Lyle “Sam” Rose, 81, of Cassville, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020, at Bentonview Park Health and Rehabilitation in Monett.
He was born March 30, 1938, in Barry County, the son of Johnny J. and Queen Isabella (Cargile) Rose. On June 21, 1958, he was united in marriage to Helen Periman, who preceded him in death on Dec. 4, 2019. Also preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Charles “Doc” Rose and Loye “Russell” Rose.
Survivors include: one son, Randy Rose and his wife Danielle of Rogers, Ark.; one daughter, Lucinda Rose of Rogers, Ark.; three brothers, J.D. Rose and his wife Janet of Washburn, John Rose and his wife Sue of Republic, and Glenn Rose and his wife Drucie of Washburn; two sisters, Lola Vanzandt and her husband Carroll of Washburn, and Lula Patrick of Rogers, Ark.; two sisters-in-law, Mary Rose of Washburn, and Ronnie Rose of Cassville; and two grandchildren.
He grew up and received his education in Washburn, where he graduated from high school. He had been a machine operator, worked for the shoe factory and preformed line products for electrical lines. For ten years, he was employed at the Cassville Golf Course. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Cassville. Graveside services were held Saturday at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor James Weaver conducted the services.
