Friday, January 31, 2020

Wheaton Police have found a 10-year-old girl reported missing Friday morning.

Onyx Morgan, 10, of Wheaton, was found in Monett at about the noon hour.

"We want to extend a huge thanks to the Wheaton, Purdy, Butterfield and Exeter fire departments, the Barry County Sheriff's Office, and the 15-20 Wheaton teachers that showed up to help with a search party," said Clint Danforth, Wheaton police chief."[Morgan] was found in Monett largely thanks to social media postings."

Morgan was reported as possibly running away from home sometime before 9 a.m. from Farm Road 2130, just south of Wheaton.

Danforth said the incident remains under investigation.

  • Why does a 10 YEAR OLD want to run away? I hope CPS is looking into this.
