Rear-end collision sends man to hospital

An Exeter man was injured Monday in a wreck at 6:55 p.m. on Highway 86 at Wheaton.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Wesley Kissinger, 26, of Exeter, was driving a 2013 Ford Explorer southbound when his vehicle struck the rear of a 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche, being driven by Jeffrey Haselden, 37, of Fairview.

Kissinger suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Cassville. Haselden was not injured.

Both were wearing safety devices. The Ford was totaled, and the Chevrolet sustained moderate damage.
