Ruby Evylee Coyner
Ruby Evylee Coyner, 89, of Pittsburg, Kan., formerly of Washburn, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020, at Gran Villas in Pittsburg.
She was born Jan. 1, 1931, in Barry County, the daughter of Jeff and Velma (Fletcher) Rose. She was united in marriage to Edward E. Sanders and to this union five children were born. She later married Hervie “Pete” Coyner, who preceded her in death on May 22, 1982. Also preceding her in death were her parents; three sons, Larry Sanders, Kervin Sanders and Darrell Sanders; one daughter, Cheryl Hawkinson; five brothers, Linear, Lemoin, Terry, J.V. and Harley; three sisters, Nancy, Jetta and Wanda; and one grandson.
Survivors include: one son, Stan Sanders and his wife Linda of Joplin; two brothers, Lennis Rose and Howard Rose and his wife Kay, all of Washburn; two sisters, Thelma Martin of Independence, and Marilyn Roller and her husband Jim of Washburn; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She grew up and received her education in Washburn. After school she lived in Montana, Hawaii, Utah, Colorado and Wyoming. In 1992, she moved back to Missouri. She was a member of Pentecostal Lighthouse Tabernacle.
Services were held Saturday, Jan. 4, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Burial was at King Cemetery in Seligman.
