Governor coming to Cassville
State officeholders special guests at Fitzpatrick campaign kickoff
A quartet of statewide officeholders, including Gov. Mike Parson, will be coming to Cassville on Nov. 4 as special guests at the Campaign Kickoff for State Treasurer Scott Fitzpatrick.
Parson, Lt. Govc. Mike Kehoe, Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft, Attorney General Eric Schmitt, and Missouri State House Speaker Elijah Haahr will be in attendance at the event, scheduled for 6 p.m. on Nov. 4 at Cassville High School, located at 1825 Hwy. Y. State House Candidate Scott Cupps will also be in attendance.
The event will serve as a kickoff for Fitzpatrick’s campaign in 2020 to retain his position as State Treasurer. He was appointed to the position on Jan. 14 by Parson, filling an opening left by Attorney General appointee Eric Schmitt.
Fitzpatrick, first elected State Representative in 2012, formerly represented Barry and portions of Stone and Lawrence counties and served as house budget chair. In addition to his time in public service, Fitzpatrick is the founder of MariCorp US., a Shell Knob-based marine manufacturing and construction company.
Fitzpatrick graduated Cassville High School in 2006 and the University of Missouri in 2010. He currently lives in Cassville. He and his wife Mallory have two sons, Luke and Carson (born in 2016), and are members of United Methodist Church in Cassville.
Food and refreshments will be provided at the event on Nov. 4, which is paid for by Fitzpatrick for Missouri, Danny Buchanan, treasurer.
