Ken E. Brown
Ken E. Brown, 78, of Cassville, passed away Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
He was born Sept. 19, 1941, in Foil, Mo., the son of John and Oma Brown. On April 7, 2012, he was united in marriage to Donna Ross, who survives.
Additional survivors include: one son, Vincent Mauldin of El Dorado, Kan.; one daughter, Melissa Speagle of Cassville; one brother Wylie Brown and his wife Heidi of Grand Island, Neb.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife, Wilda; six brothers; and three sisters.
He was raised in Strahan, Iowa, where he graduated from high school and was a state star basketball player. He attended college for two years at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville. After college he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving from 1963 to 1965. He was a member of the American Legion and Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Bella Vista, Ark.
Services with military honors were held Friday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
