Vehicle hits tree in early morning hours Sunday

Three people were injured Sunday in a wreck at 1 a.m. on Farm Road 2275, five miles east of Seligman.

According to a Missouri State Highway patrol report, Chanceler Black, 19, of Seligman, was driving a 1993 Jeep Wrangler northbound when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.

Black and a passenger in the vehicle, Steven Skinkis, 21, of Seligman, each suffered moderate injuries. Both were transported to Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Ark. Another passenger, Mason Owens, 18, of Washburn, suffered minor injuries and did not seek medical treatment.

None of the occupants were wearing safety devices, and the vehicle sustained minor damage.
