Harter House grocery has stepped forward as a platinum sponsor for the Shell Knob Shakin’ in the Shell Fest.

“Harter House sponsors the Shakin’ Fest to help promote our community,” said Owner Brad Bettlach. “As a local business, we want to help Shell Knob grow in a positive manner. Shakin’ in the Shell is a great way to bring our town together and attract people to our community.”

The Shakin’ in the Shell Fest will be held on Sept. 13-14. This year’s events include food booths, retail booths, a boat and RV show and a wine and beer garden on Friday starting at 5 p.m. A free concert by Earl and Them will begin at 7 p.m.

Saturday will have activities for the entire family all day starting at 9 a.m. with the Classic and Custom Car Show. Admission and parking to the festival are free. In addition to the attractions on Friday and Saturday includes entertainment by local school bands, live presentations by Dickerson Park Zoo, a dog show, talent show and Little Miss/Mr. Shell Knob pageant. A large kids’ area with a rock wall, rides, bubble soccer, and camel rides will entertain the kids. There is a fee for the kids’ area. A horseshoe pitching competition will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Axe throwing and hot air balloon rides will be available from 4-6 p.m.

Harter House will be one of the food providers for the festival, serving several signature items, including their Santa Maria style tri-tip sandwiches and award-winning German brauts. Harter House is widely known for their signature meats. Spanning three generations of the Bettlach family, Harter House has eight locations throughout southwest Missouri.

Known for their quality, service and value, Harter House is proud to a part of the communities they serve. The Bettlaches have recently opened a new store in Berryville, Ark. Brad Bettlach says he has high expectations for this new store and looks forward to providing another quality, competitive grocery business, while supporting the local economy and providing area employment.
