Lloyd Dean Cooper
Lloyd Dean Cooper, 84, of Cape Fair, passed away on Aug. 18, 2019.
He was born on Nov. 22, 1934, in Shell Knob, the son of Lowell and Geneva (Sapp) Cooper. On April 30, 1958, he married Annetta Mills and she survives.
Additional survivors include: his children, Lloyd Cooper, Jr. (Mary), Carolyn Carson (Bryan), and Andrew Cooper (Shannon); five grandchildren; and five great-grandsons; and his sister, Etta Faye DeMoss.
He was pre-deceased by his parents and brother, Vaughn Cooper.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in 1957. He owned and operated Cooper Office Machines in Topeka, Kan., for many years. In 1978, he joined the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Department retiring in 1991.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge #17 in Topeka, Kan., where he served as Master in 1977.
Services were held today (Wednesday) in Stumpff Funeral Chapel, Crane with Ron Barrick officiating. Burial was at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane.
