Kenneth Lawrence Watkins
Kenneth Lawrence Watkins, 80, of Liberal, formerly of Aurora, passed away Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019, at his home. He was born Feb. 13, 1939, in Aurora, the son of Clarence and Vida (Baker) Watkins.
Kenneth was a driver for the Amish for 25 years and was a member of the Missouri Interstate Fox and Wolf Hunters Association.
On May 11, 1957, he married Polly Wiggans, in Kansas City. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include: his daughter, Tammy Woods and her husband, Sam, of Pierce City; two sons, Jim Watkins and his wife, Diana, of Cassville, and Duane Watkins and his wife, Amy, of Aurora; one sister, Peggy Newman and her husband, Jim, of Purdy; one brother, Don Holly of Neosho; 10 grandchildren; 20 great- grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Vida, wife, Polly, three sisters, Betty Garberino, Leona Fitzgerald and Emma Bailey and two brothers, Freddy Watkins and Lloyd Watkins.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 15, at the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora. Burial will follow at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home chapel.
