Cassville reveals gridiron slate for fans

Even though the outdoor temperatures are still a bit on the warm side, nothing gives the football fans in Cassville the chills anymore than thinking about football season.

While the games’ outcomes will ultimately be decided under the Friday night lights, Wildcat Nation can whet its appetite with the release for the 2019 season schedule.

The Wildcats have a schedule that features five home games.

Fans will also be treated to five different events happening outside of those contests.

The season opens with a home game with Aurora on Aug. 30. That contest will also serve as Alumni Night.

A road trip to Springfield Catholic begins the month of September on the sixth day. One week later, on Sept. 13, Monett, the Barry County Brawl and Mighty Mite Night all converge on the home turf in Cassville.

The Wildcats then hit the road to face Seneca on Sept. 20, and Homecoming with East Newton is set one week later on Sept. 27.

October brings cooler weather, but hot gridiron action with a road trip to McDonald County on Oct. 4.

Cassville returns home on Oct. 11 with a game against Nevada and Military Night.

Seven days later, Senior Night will be upon the Wildcats as they host Reeds Spring.

The regular season concludes in what should be a dandy matchup as Cassville heads north to face Lamar on Oct. 25.

Fans can bet the farm that the Tigers remember their national winning streak being snapped last year by the Wildcats.

All kickoff times are set for 7 p.m.
