Man charged for stabbing in Cassville
Domestic incident sends man to ICU
A Cassville man is facing four felonies after allegedly stabbing a man and threatening another at a home on Farm Road 1110 on June 5.
Alan Mellow, 27, of Cassville, is charged with first-degree domestic assault, third-degree domestic assault and two counts of armed criminal action.
According to a probable cause statement filed by Deputy Kyle Rhea, with the Barry County Sheriff’s Office, Mellow allegedly stabbed a man in the home in the left side of his upper torso, using a large knife. Due to the injury, the man had to be flown to Mercy Springfield and was in critical condition at the Intensive Care Unit on June 6.
Mellow also allegedly caused a second man’s knee to come out of place during a physical altercation, during which Mellow threatened to stab the man, as well.
Mellow is being held in the Barry County jail on a cash-only bond of $75,000. He has been arraigned, and a disposition hearing is set for June 25 at 8:30 a.m. in the courtroom of Judge Robert Foulke.
