Stanley Max Ford
Stanley Max Ford, 73, of Wheaton, passed away in his home, on Tuesday, June 4, 2019. He was born Sept. 1, 1945, in Wheaton, the son of Stanley S. and Katherine (Plancheon) Ford.
He was a 1963 graduate of Rocky Comfort High School. He attended Crowder College and Missouri State University prior to being drafted into the U.S. Army. He then served in the Missouri Army National Guard 203 Engineer Battalion.
He was a member of the Barry County Sheriff’s Posse and former president of the Wheaton Saddle Club. He was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge.
On Dec. 20, 1998, he married Donna Royer-Elliott at her parents’ home in Loup City, Neb. She survives. Additional survivors include: children, Marcia and her husband Joe Himes, Lewis and his wife Deanna Royer; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Stanley and Katherine Ford; his grandparents; and one granddaughter, Addison Royer.
Services were held Saturday, June 8, at Wheaton United Methodist Church, under direction of McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Roger McKee conducted the services. Burial with military honors was at Rocky Comfort Cemetery.
