Older Americans Day celebration held at Central Crossing Senior Center
On May 21, Central Crossing Senior Center hosted the celebration of Older Americans Day.
It was a widely varied event, with the central theme focused on improving the lives American seniors and local seniors in particular. The lunch was provided by Central Crossing’s business partners and sponsors. While not all could attend, their sponsorship is much appreciated.
In addition to a fantastic lunch (BBQ by Jim Fohn) friendships were made or enhanced, and the event included information about local businesses partners; a silent auction; a quilt raffle; blood pressure checks, entertainment by the Table Rockettes; and even a Baby Picture contest.
A great time was had by all. Special thanks to the following business sponsors: Thrifty Closet, Arvest Bank, Service 1 Federal Credit Union, Green Acre Lodge (Holiday Island), Willis Insurance, Meeks Lumber, Security Bank of Cassville, Welch Home Construction and Fohn Funeral Home.
Shell Knob locals appreciate the generous support of sponsors and local businesses, and those that could attend were able to present to the community the many ways in which their businesses can improve the lives of locals.
