Kenneth Wayne Cook
Kenneth Wayne Cook, 72, of Stark City, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.
He was born Jan. 11, 1947, in Newton County, the son of Marvin and Lela Mae (Edmonds) Cook. On July 2, 1970, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Brattin, who survives.
Additional survivors include: his mother, Lela Mae Cook of Stella; three sons, Allan Cook of Stark City, Randal Cook and his wife Sheba of Stark City, and Kevin Cook and his wife Kristy of Purdy; one brother, Kervyn Cook and his wife Joyce of Fairview; one sister, Glenda Cook Bross and her husband Tom of Monett; and six grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was his father.
He grew up and received his education in Stella where he graduated from high school. On June 15, 1965, he joined the U.S. Air Force serving until December 1968. He was a member of Union Chapel Church in Stella.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 9, at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Pastor Rob Wood will conduct the services. Burial with military honors will be at Dice Cemetery in Fairview.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.
