Francisco Casas, 56, of Wheaton, passed away Monday, April 15, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
He was born May 7, 1962, in Durango, Mexico, the son of Francisco and Rita (Bolivar) Casas. On March 13, 1982, in Maywood, Ill., he was united in marriage to Oralia Herrera, who survives.
Additional survivors include: his parents; two sons, Cesar Casas and his wife Grisett Flores of Hanover Park, Ill., and Erik Casas and his wife Alyssa of Exeter; one daughter, Karina Guzman and her husband Michael of Purdy; four brothers, Jorge Casas, Ruben Casas, Jose Casas and Javier Casas; two sisters, Sofia Spencer and Rosalva Gonzalez; and seven grandchildren.
He grew up and received his education in Mexico. In 1999, he moved from Illinois to the Wheaton area. For several years, he was a self-employed truck driver.
Services were held at Saturday, April 20, at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Cassville under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Burial was at Purdy Cemetery.
