Norma Jean Harris
Norma Jean Harris, 90, of Washburn, passed away Monday, April 8, 2019, at her home.
She was born Nov. 5, 1928, in Golden, the daughter of Walter J. and Lora A. (Sparks) Bruton. On June 21, 1947, in Columbus, Kan., she was united in marriage to Rudolph Harris, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents; two sons, Tony and Lyndell; two daughters, Judy and Joyce; two sisters, Ruth and Polly and three brothers, Lloyd, Bob and Jimmijo.
Survivors include: two sons, Randy Harris and his wife Patsy of Springfield, and Rudy Harris of Eureka Springs, Ark.; two daughters, Paula Jean Harris of Washburn, and Beverly Jo Leach of Cassville; two sisters, Mary Rose of Washburn, and Irene Overman of Seligman; 14 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
She was a life-long resident of Barry County and graduated from Southwest High School. She was a long-time member of Washburn Church of Christ.
Services were held Sunday, April 14 at Mill Street Church of Christ in Cassville, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Burial was at Corinth Cemetery in Cassville.
