Doyle E. Price
Doyle E. Price, 77, of Webb City, formerly of Cassville, passed away March 9, 2019, at St. Lukeís Medical Center in Phoenix, Ariz., following a sudden illness. He was born Dec. 12, 1941, in Rombauer, Mo., and had lived in Webb City since 1987. Doyle was a graduate from Fisk High School in Fisk. He received his Bachelorís Degree from the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Ark., his Masterís Degree from Drury College in Springfield, and his Specialistís Degree from Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield. He spent 32 years in public education. He served as the Head Basketball Coach at Reeds Spring, Principal at Southwest High School in Washburn, Principal at Webb City, at both the Jr. High and High School, and Superintendent of East Newton High School in Granby. He also served as a member of the Missouri State High School Activities Assoc. He was a member of the Wellspring Church in Webb City.
He married Sandra K. Laster Sept. 4, 1965, in Fort Smith, Ark., and she survives.
Additional survivors include: three sons, Daryl Price (Charisse), Atlanta, Ge., Gary Price (Rhonda), Webb City, and Craig Price (Candi), Baxter Springs, Kan.; two brothers, Ron Price (Millie), Searcy, Ark., and Larry Price (Judy), Aurora; one sister, Lula Vaughn (Marvin), Little Rock, Ark.; and eight grandchildren.
Services were Saturday at the Wellspring Church, with Scott Smith and Craig Price, Ministers, officiating. Burial was at the Oronogo Cemetery.
