Mary D. Stringer
Mary D. Stringer, 93, of Cassville, passed away at her home on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2019. She was born on Oct. 15, 1925, in Eagle Rock, daughter of Marion and Mabel (Skelton) Earls. She was a 1943 Cassville High School graduate and went on to receive her teaching degree from Missouri State.
On Feb. 15, 1946, she was united in marriage to Herman L. Stringer in Mano; he preceded her in death. During World War II, she worked as a QC inspector for Beechcraft Air in Wichita, Kan. She also worked for the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture in Kansas City.
Survivors include: two sons, Stephen Lee Stringer and his wife Mary, of Lee’s Summit, and Michael James Stringer, of Peculiar; and one daughter, Elizabeth Jane Stringer McNey and her husband Jim, of Jupiter, Fla.; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Glenda Stringer, of Independence.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, David Earle Stringer; her sister, Annabelle Earls Ford, and her brother Larry Earls.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, at Corinth Cemetery in Cassville, with Pastor Rick Cooper officiating.
