Dorothy Fern Hodge
Dorothy Fern Hodge, 87 of Exeter, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2019, at Roaring River health and Rehabilitation in Cassville.
She was born April 3, 1931, in Shell Knob, the daughter of Alvin A. and Frances (Starkey) Henson. On Dec. 29, 1949, in Exeter, she was united in marriage to Earl Hodge, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents; a grandson, Dusty Hodge and three sisters, Marilyn, Jewel and Ruby.
Survivors include: two sons, Ray Hodge and his wife Sandy of Joplin, and Greg Hodge and his wife Stacy of Cassville; five brothers, Paul and his wife Alta and Darrell and his wife Melba all of Shell Knob, Dale and his wife Jean and Harrell all of Cassville, and Dewey and his wife Sue of Springdale, Ark.; three sisters, Treva of Savannah, Tenn., and Foxy and Connie both of Cassville; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She received her education in Cassville. She had been employed at Jumping Jack Shoes, Fasco and Mercy Hospital. She was of the Baptist faith.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
