According to a press release from the Branson Police Department, a 1999 Ford truck, operated by Steven C. Weter, of Hollister, was traveling southbound on Branson Landing Boulevard at about 8 p.m. A group of pedestrians was standing at the intersection waiting to cross, and as they entered the marked crosswalk to walk across Branson Landing Boulevard, they were struck by the truck. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
