William “Bill” Franklin Amos

William “Bill” Franklin Amos, 91, of Tulsa, Okla., (formerly of Butterfield) passed away on Jan. 12, 2019. He was born July 16, 1927, to Charlie and Letha (Henson) Amos, in Barry County. He served in the Army during WWII from 1946-1949. He was a Southern Baptist Deacon. He was a Cassville City Postal Carrier and Postmaster in Golden.

Survivors include: his wife of 65 years, Virginia (Linebarger) Amos; daughters, Karla Kuklaw (Curtiss), and Cheryl Reichman (Jonathan); son, Brent Amos (Sheila); six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles and Rex, and sister Faye. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Charlene and Mae.

Services were held Wednesday, Jan. 16, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville, with Rev. Jonathan Reichman conducting the services. Burial with military honors was at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Butterfield.
