James Lee Hency
James Lee Hency, 69, of Cassville, passed away Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018, at Cassville Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cassville.
He was born in Berryville, Ark., on March 22, 1949, the son of James Kenneth and Anna (Lee) Hency, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death was one sister.
Survivors include: two daughters, Jamie Kay Massey and her husband Trent and Laurie Hency and two sisters, Debbie Brown and family of Cassville and Lisa Carrothers and family of Cassville.
He attended Cassville High School where he graduated in 1967. During the Vietnam War he joined the United States Navy, serving from July 29, 1968, until July 28, 1972. He later earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Columbia College in Springfield. For several years, he was employed as a glass cutter at EFCO Corporation in Monett. James was a Christian and attended First Baptist Church in Cassville.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Rick Cooper will conduct the services. Burial with military honors will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cassville.
The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
