Henry Luther Blankenship

Henry Luther Blankenship, 71, of Aurora, passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2018, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

He was born in Jenkins, on June 1, 1947, the son of Duane and Ollie Blankenship. On Aug. 1, 1964, he was united in marriage to Sharon Bright, who survives.

Additional survivors include: two daughters, Pamela Waltrip and her husband Kenny of Aurora, and Cheryl Cantrell and her husband Bruce of Springfield; two sons, Chris Blankenship and his wife Shelley of Aurora, and Gregory Blankenship and his wife Cassy of Aurora; two brothers, Sam Blankenship and his wife Trudy of Jenkins, and Pat Blankenship and his wife Debbie of Jenkins; one brother-in-law, Jerry Nickle of Cassville; one sister, Marie Iiams of Jenkins; eleven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Harold Blankenship and one sister, Louise Nickle.

He attended elementary school at Jenkins and then Cassville High School. In 1966, he and Sharon moved to their farm, where he spent the rest of his life as a beef farmer. He attended Longview Methodist Church in Purdy.

Services were held Tuesday, Dec. 18, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Mark Moller and Pastor David Wilson conducted the services. Burial was at Clio Cemetery in Jenkins.
