Norma “Blanche” Hadlow

Norma “Blanche” Hadlow, 86, of Cassville, passed away Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018, at Ozarks Methodist Manor in Marionville.

She was born in Cato, on June 11, 1932, the daughter of Joe Ray and Paralee (Doty) Ray. On Oct. 15, 1949, she was united in marriage to Gaylord Hadlow, who preceded her in death on May 15, 2011. Also preceding her in death were her parents; four brothers, Lavern, Alvin, Ira and Loya and two sisters, Irene Bailey and Lottie Griffith.

Survivors include: two sons, Bill Hadlow and his wife Susan and David Hadlow and his wife Jennifer, all of Shell Knob; one daughter, Beverly McCaulla and her husband Ken of Shell Knob, ; one sister-in-law, Tessie Ray of Jenkins; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She grew up in Cato, and attended Fairview School District west of Shell Knob. At the age of 60, she earned her GED. From the early ‘60s until the ‘80s, she was employed at South Barry County Hospital in Cassville, as a CNA. She also worked at Red Rose Inn in Cassville. She attended Lohmer Full Gospel Church in Shell Knob, and volunteered at Thrifty Closet and Central Crossing Senior Center in Shell Knob.

Services were held Monday at Lohmer Full Gospel Church in Shell Knob, under the direction of Fohn Funeral in Cassville. Burial was at Clio Cemetery in Jenkins.
