19 Wildcats earn Big 8 honors

Haney named offensive player of year, Parnell coach of year

While the season may have ended sooner than the team wanted, the respect the Wildcats football earned was reflected in the release of the Big 8 All-Conference West Division team.

Cassville landed 19 names in over 20 spots on the list, including claiming Offensive Player and Coach of the Year honors.

Earning spots for Cassville were:

First Team: Zack Burton, Anthony Tolbert, D.J. White, Ethan Hoppes, Bowen Preddy, Austin Sanders, Shannon Haney, Drake Reese and Tye Ellis.

Second Team: Mason Hendrix, Jacob Beaulieu, Troy Hagins, Bowen Preddy, Evan Kessinger, Jesus Perez and Logan Carlin.

Honorable Mention: Blake Gordon, Jose Melchor and Deven Bates.
