Drugs allegedly found after pursuit

A Washburn woman has been charged with possession of a controlled substance after she was allegedly found with methamphetamine following a pursuit on Oct. 23.

According to a probable cause statement filed by Deputy Kayla Strahley, with the Barry County Sheriff’s Office, there was a short pursuit on Highway 90 in Washburn where Rachel Rose, 33, of Washburn was a passenger.

After the pursuit ended, Rose was allegedly found in possession of a glass vial yielding a positive field test result for methamphetamine.

Rose is being held on a $20,000 bond.

She has been arraigned, and a disposition hearing is set for Nov. 6 at 8:30 a.m. in the courtroom of Judge Robert Foulke.
