Nina Ruth Fohn
Nina Ruth Fohn, daughter of George R. and Lola A. Gann Forgey, was born Nov. 6, 1929, near Sparta. She departed this life Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018, in her home, in Lebanon, at the age of 88.
On Oct. 11, 1947, she was united in marriage to Dale Fohn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dale, on Jan., 6, 2012; a son-in-law, J.C. Benage; a granddaughter, Paula Marie Darnell; and two sisters, Louise Shipman and Edna Walters.
Survivors include: three daughters, Judith “Judy” Benage, of Lebanon, Jeannie Carlson and Janie Mitchell, both of Springfield; a son, Jim Fohn, and his wife, Janice, of Cassville; and six grandchildren.
She graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1947. After she and Dale were married, they made their home in the Lebanon area. She was a devoted homemaker and also worked as a sales clerk at various clothing stores in downtown Lebanon. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Oct. 28, at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon. Burial was at Mount Rose Memorial Park Chapel Mausoleum in Lebanon.
