Mike Olen Adcock
Mike Olen Adcock, 66, of Cape Fair, passed away Monday, Oct. 22, 2018, at his home.
He was born Oct. 29, 1951, in Port Hueneme, Calif., to Fletcher and Tina (Trask) Adcock. On May 5, 1984, he was united in marriage to Vicki Garrison, who survives. Survivors include: one son, Michael Adcock, who lives in Okmulgee, Okla., with his wife, Amanda Hollands; three grandchildren; one brother, Jim Adcock of Dewey Arizona; and four sisters: Sharon McSorley of Lake Placid Fla.; Connie Hill of Fort Pierce, Fla.; Debbie Allen and Lori Borron of Coffeyville, Kan.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
He graduated from Field Kindley High School in Coffeyville, Kan., and received an Associate degree later in life from Coffeyville Community College. He was honorably discharged after four years of service from the U.S. Army on Feb. 23, 1993. Mike retired as Commander of Field Services from Coffeyville Police Department after 20 years of service. After moving to Missouri, he then worked for the Barry County Sheriff’s Department for 10 years, 7 of those years as Court Bailiff. He retired completely from law enforcement on July 6, 2018. He was a member of First Baptist of Cape Fair.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at First Baptist Church in Cape Fair. Dr. Steven Gann will conduct the services. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
