Connie Ray Lloyd

Connie Ray Lloyd, 78, of Seligman, passed away Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018, at Cassville Health Care and Rehabilitation.

He was born in Seligman to Clarence and Pansy Lloyd on Sept. 19, 1940.

He graduated from Southwest High School in Washburn. He married Jane Hammond, and they had four children, Leslie, Racelle, Daniel and Norah.

He had worked in the oil fields of Saudi Arabia off and on 15 years. He was elected commissioner for the Sugar Creek Road District in Seligman. He was also the treasurer with the Seligman Fire Department. He was a member of the Cassville Cruisers. He was one of the last of the shade tree mechanics, so to speak. He did air conditioning work in vehicles and tractors.

He also operated his cattle farm and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Garfield, Ark.

In 2004 he married Reatha Asher, and she survives.

Additional survivors include: his children, Leslie Lloyd, Racelle Lloyd, Daniel Lloyd and Norah Lloyd; one granddaughter; step-children, Tonja Martin, Lance and Emily Martin and girls and Shannon and Julie Martin and children; two brothers, Efton Lloyd and Roger Lloyd.

Services were held Monday, Oct. 15, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Burial was at New Salem Cemetery in Seligman.
